Can we use agile outside software development?

 

There is advantage and disadvantage here. Advantage is that, there are some examples. But disadvantage is that, there aren't many examples of agile being used outside software development.

 

Agile was created with software in mind, but there is a successful example: NPR has used Agile to reduce programming costs by up to 60% and succeded. This is a good example and present that we can use agile outside software development.

There are also unsuccessful examples as much as successful examples. If you want to use agile outside software development, you will need to be careful and prepared for more risks.

Remember the maxim: No risk, no profit.
